Course is almost over

So the online course I'm taking is in the final 8th week now. I've learned tons through this course and have so many notes on how to improve and to evolve from now on.

Trying to use som detail..

I struggled with this one. Couldn't get the sence of atmosphere I wanted or depth of field. But it's just another step to go! Practice, practice!

Chef robot

So I've started learning how to use photos in my drawings to create textures and even entire objects. It's quick and a lot of fun. Just gotta be careful not to rely too much on the photos.

Concepts in color

So these started from a reference photo and then I just added some elements and different backgrounds. They're not too detailed as I didn't have much time. But I'm learning a lot about color and atmosphere. It's all practice, practice, practice! and then it gets better! better! better!

So this is this week's assignment in progress. The planet's environment is inspired by the grand canyon-type or even Tepui landscape with the really steep hillsides. - Then I'm going to add some buildings around it or maybe some machines. Wish I could say I had a story built around the concept but I don't atm :P

So this is the beginnings of my first week assignment in "Environment design for games". A black and white composition of a pre-historic environment!

This is a concept idea I did for my Art Center application. The basic idea is that some dinosaurs survived the extinction and evolved more and more intelligence and developed tools and a culture. These are some of my design ideas.


To be able to make their tools, the dinosaurs used a plant-oil that could be found within these funny-looking plants. These plants started to grow after the meteor-crash, since the meteor brought with it extraterrestrial elements.

Animated short

There was a competition in my high school back in 2008 to make a presentation on global warming. My contribution to the presentation was bringing some emotions to it through this simple short flm. All done in one week, so there was only so much I could actually animate. This final result is more like an animatic, but I think it tells the story.
